Job Responsibilities

Support the business development process by qualifying prospects and scheduling meetings for the Business Development Officer.

Educate prospective clients on Independence’s products and services.

Exhibit a high level of professionalism and reflect positively on the Company.

Communicate and partner with the Marketing team and Business Development Officer to ensure quality leads that will result in a high close rate. Identify areas in which the quality of prospect leads can be improved.

Provide superior service and assist with other projects and assignments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or Master’s Degree a plus.

Series 65 required within 120 days of employment.

Minimum of 3 years financial services, insurance, or wealth management experience.

One to three years of successful inside sales, telemarketing or business development.

Broad and solid understanding of investment principles and financial markets, including such areas as: asset allocation techniques, investment products, financial planning concepts, and private banking.

Outstanding communication skills, team building skills and ability to build rapport with internal and external customers.

Exceptional verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette.

Must be articulate, persuasive and have the ability to connect with a variety of personality types quickly over the phone.

Ability to effectively articulate and explain wealth management strategies and services to prospects.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
